PHASE 3: Introduction to Fantasy Effects

Class Description:

This Introduction to Fantasy Effects course is for those who have an interest for the arts, photography, stage effects, Halloween make-up effects or want to take their make-up skills to the next level. This condensed course will test your level of artistic hand-eye coordination skills by covering basic art techniques of design, color theory and color placement. You will learn to create illusions and characters with 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional techniques.

Students will learn the principles of light and shadow along with the concept of lighting effects of both stage and studio. The use of advanced brushes and tools of the trade, special effects products and mixed media usage will be learned. Newly acquired knowledge will enable you to work in:

• Basic Theatre and State Productions
• Face Painting/Children’s Parties
• Print work or Photography
• Special Events/Theme Events
• Freelance Artistry
• Halloween Artistry

Phase 3 will allow students to jumpstart their career in Fantasy Make-up by touching on all the basics, while having plenty of theory and hands-on practice time on live models to sharpen their skills.

Prerequisite:

Phase 1 completion or a Certification from a previous Institute of equal standing is required before advancement onto Phase 3.

To guarantee your seat in the class, a 50% deposit must be paid in advance with the balance due and payable on the first day of class. Entire cost may be paid in full ahead of time. Payments may be made by check, money order, or online with a credit/debit card.

Refund Policy–Please Read Carefully

The Minimum Deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable unless the class is cancelled or rescheduled. If you must cancel your enrollment in the course, written notice must be provided to the school a minimum of 48 hours prior to the start of the first class session to receive a refund. The refund, less the Minimum Deposit, will be reimbursed within thirty (30) days of cancellation.
