PHASE I: Cosmetic Essentials/ Arts & Sciences
Class Description:
This Cosmetic Essentials course is for anyone who has an interest in Cosmetic Arts and Sciences. The program was designed to expand students’ basic knowledge of makeup industry fundamentals or for anyone interested in a career change into the field of cosmetics.
Students will learn about the beauty industry, history of cosmetics, basic artistic concepts such as Color Theory and Facial Geometrics, basic skin care essentials, beginning bridal makeup techniques, sales and networking principles, and career advancement techniques.
The course will prepare students for careers as:
• Cosmetic Consultants • Cosmetic Brand Representative • Cosmetic Counter Artists • Salon/Spa Makeup Artists • Freelance Makeup Artists
The course is designed to build self-confidence in theory, provide hands-on experience working on live models, and provide a solid background in Color Theory. In addition, students learn valuable techniques in successful clientele interaction for maximum results. Phase I is a must-take course for those looking to succeed in the fields of Cosmetics or Makeup Artistry and is the ideal course to pave the way to an exciting career as a professional makeup artist.
Students will receive a rolling makeup toolbox with custom selections, 20-piece brush set, disposable collection, 5 color palettes, an Arts and Sciences makeup textbook, handouts, and more than 40 cosmetic items.
Prerequisite:
A passion for makeup!
Phase 1 or an equivalent certificate from a previous institute of equal standing is required before advancement to Phase II and Phase III.

To guarantee your seat in the class, a 50% deposit must be paid in advance with the balance due and payable on the first day of class. Entire cost may be paid in full ahead of time. Payments may be made by check, money order, or online with a credit/debit card.

Refund Policy–Please Read Carefully
The Minimum Deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable unless the class is cancelled or rescheduled. If you must cancel your enrollment in the course, written notice must be provided to the school a
minimum of 48 hours prior to the start of the first class session to receive a refund. The refund, less the
Minimum Deposit, will be reimbursed within thirty (30) days of cancellation.
All students must complete the Make-up Course Application and Enrollment Agreement forms and bring
